TADAS Platform
A multidisciplinary approach to laboratory readiness assessment and data governance, connecting human, animal, and environmental health systems across Ethiopia.

Project Competition
A multidisciplinary team of six professionals from Jimma University, the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI), the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Environmental Protection Authority designed a winning proposal at the COHESA Sandpit organized by the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) on August 21, 2024.
Out of eight competing groups, the TADAs team emerged as the winner, securing €39,000 in project funding from COHESA to implement an integrated national surveillance architecture.

Laboratory Readiness Assessment
Comprehensive baseline evaluation of surveillance systems and diagnostics across human, animal, and environmental sectors in Ethiopia.
Following the win, the team initiated activities through desk reviews and institutional surveys at EPHI, AHI, and EPA, while analyzing existing data tools (WHONET and INFARM). The readiness assessment documented system benefits, technical limitations, and user needs, directly informing the TADAs platform architecture.

Theory of Change
Eight months into the project, the team received rigorous Theory of Change training facilitated by ISAAA and COHESA at Capital International Hotel, spanning 8 consecutive days.
The project deliverables and stakeholder engagement roadmap were refined according to this framework, ensuring a systematic, measurable approach to sustainable One Health data integration.

Workshops & Training
